The subject teachers’ meeting (MGMP) is a forum for professional activities for teachers of the same subject at the senior high school level, both at the school level and at the district/city level. MGMP is considered the most effective for teachers to help their colleagues or members in implementing learning.
The Metro City Economics MGMP is one of them, with 40 members. This economics teacher meeting was held on Monday, September 11, 2023 in the meeting room of SMA Negeri 1 Metro. In this meeting, there was also a socialization of learning products whose speakers were lecturers and students of the Economic Education Study Program at FKIP UM Metro.
The socialization of learning products was carried out by Economics Education Study Program Lecturers, namely Mr. Fajri Arif Wibawa, S.Pd., M.Pd and the Head of the Study Program, Mrs. Tiara Anggia Dewi, M.Pd. and 3 students. This socialization activity was carried out to connect the common thread between universities and MGPM Economics.
In his delivery, Mr. Fajri Arif Wibawa, S.Pd., M.Pd. said, “Our purpose and purpose of the Economic Education Study Program of FKIP UM Metro here is to convey the disconnected red thread, namely between universities in this case Muhammadiyah Metro University, especially the Economic Education Study Program with MGMP Economics Metro City. So far, the development products for learning, especially economic subjects owned by lecturers and students, have stopped at the college level, even though these products should be used and useful for the teachers. Hopefully the first socialization of this learning product can be useful for the teachers and can be sustainable continuously, “said Fajri.
