Supporting a Healthy Lifestyle, Imafis UM Metro Presents Rahmad Darmawan in Launching a Sports Village

East Lampung, October 9, 2023 – The Chancellor of Muhammadiyah Metro University together with the Vice Chairman for Cooperation and Inter-Institutional Relations of KONI Lampung inaugurated the Sport Development Index Standardized Sports Village at the RBC Field in Dsn. Cempaka Banjarrejo Village, East Lampung.

This launching is a clear proof of UM Metro’s commitment in supporting community development and social welfare. Through the guidance of PPK Ormawa Physics Student Association (IMAFIS) UM Metro, Banjarrejo Sports Village is an innovation in encouraging the development of sports and a healthy lifestyle for adolescents or youth of Banjarrejo Village.

In his speech, Dr. Nyoto Suseno, M.Si. as the Rector of UM Metro underlined the importance of Banjarrejo Sports Village in encouraging healthy lifestyles and talent interests of village youth.

“We, UM Metro, are proud to be part of an initiative that will provide positive benefits to the people of Banjarrejo Village. The Sports Village is clear evidence of the spirit of collaboration between UM Metro, especially IMAFIS and Banjarrejo Village to create an environment that supports sports activities, “said Nyoto.

He also added that in the future, with the existence of this Sports Village, the talents of teenagers/young people in the village can be increasingly facilitated. With the existence of this Sports Village, it is also a place to express the spirit of positive competition so that it can make achievements.

Meanwhile, Vice Chairman V of Cooperation and Inter-Institutional Relations of KONI Lampung, Major Laut (Ret.) Drs. Rahmad Darmawan hopes that the Sports Village can create a healthier and more accomplished young generation.

“As a representative of KONI Lampung, I am happy to support this Sports Village innovation, I am sure that through this collaboration we can create a healthier, more active and accomplished young generation in sports,” said Rahmad.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by local community leaders, government representatives, and Banjarrejo villagers. All parties welcome this initiative and hope that the Banjarrejo Sports Village will become a model for other regions in promoting healthy lifestyles, exercise and community well-being.

The Banjarrejo Sports Village is a positive step that will have a major impact in advancing the quality of life of the people of East Lampung and help create a more active and physically and mentally healthy younger generation.

UM Metro together with PPK Ormawa IMAFIS will continue to be committed to supporting and developing this program so that more people can benefit from it.
