Strengthening Management Towards Laboratory Accreditation, UM Metro Presents Great Experts from LLDIKTI Region II

Universitas Muhammadiyah (UM) Metro continues to strive to improve the quality of laboratory management, by presenting the Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI) Region II Team Dr. Suheryanto, M.Si. who is also a lecturer at Sriwijaya University, Saturday (09/09/2023). This activity aims to prepare important steps towards laboratory accreditation that will help improve the quality of higher education on the professional prophetic campus.

Dr. Suheryanto provided relevant and valuable material to the participants regarding laboratory management, the laboratory accreditation process, as well as the preparation needed to achieve recognized laboratory accreditation.

UM Metro Rector, Dr. Nyoto Suseno, M.Si., stated the importance of this activity in supporting the improvement of the quality of higher education. “This activity is very necessary to improve the quality of our higher education. Good laboratory management is one of the main foundations in creating a quality educational environment,” he said.

The participants who attended this activity were key stakeholders in the UM Metro environment, including the Head of Laboratory, laboratory staff, Head of Study Program, and Dean of each faculty who are policy makers who have a central role in the preparation and implementation of laboratory management improvements.

Apart from providing valuable material in the HI building hall, Dr. Suheryanto also visited the laboratories in the UM Metro environment. The purpose of this visit was to see firsthand the potential for laboratory accreditation and provide more specific suggestions.

UM Metro believes that this collaboration with Dr. Suheryanto’s LLDIKTI Region II Team can help the Lab at UM Metro in achieving high laboratory accreditation goals. This will bring great benefits to students, researchers, and the entire UM Metro academic community in supporting the development of science and high-quality education in the future.
