Ready to Follow Learning, UM Metro Foreign Students Arrive in Indonesia

Metro, September 3, 2023 – Three foreign students of Universitas Muhammadiyah (UM) Metro from Thailand arrived in Metro City on Sunday, September 3, 2023, to begin their academic journey at this university. The three students will attend their first class on Monday, September 4, 2023, in different study programs.

Nonthawat Leenoi, an international student of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program, Basaree Benkob, an international student of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, and Yumna Jehsoh, an international student of the Hospital Administration Study Program, are talented figures who have chosen UM Metro as the place to pursue their degrees. They come with great enthusiasm to develop their knowledge and skills in their chosen field.

The arrival of the three international students was not only witnessed by themselves, but also by experienced chaperones. Dr. Taleb Kayem, who is the Director of Islam Wittaya School, and Vice Director Ust. Zaki, also participated in this trip. They were accompanied by a professional teacher from Indonesia who is also a UM Metro alumni, namely Andrew Okta Mahendra.

Upon arrival in Metro City, the three international students and guests were warmly welcomed by a number of university officials. Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Dr. Achyani, M.S., and Vice Rector III for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Ir. Eva Rolia, M.T., along with the head of the Financial Administration Bureau and the Team of the Cooperation Center and International Affairs Office were present to give a lively welcome.
