Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah (UM) Metro, Dr. Nyoto Suseno, M.Si. inaugurated Dr. Handoko Santoso, M.Pd. as Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences for the term of 2023-2027 on Monday, October 02, 2023. The inauguration was held at the HI Building hall on the local campus.
Dr. Handoko Santoso, an experienced and highly committed academic has won the Rector’s trust to lead the Faculty of Health Sciences for the next four years. He has shown tremendous dedication to the development of education and research in his field over the years.
In his remarks, UM Metro Rector, Dr. Nyoto Suseno, M.Si., expressed his confidence in the ability and integrity of Dr. Handoko Santoso.
“Dr. Handoko Santoso has proven to be a visionary and committed leader. We are confident that he will bring FIKES to a higher level, strengthening the university’s position in producing quality and competitive graduates,” said the Rector.
Dr. Handoko Santoso himself expressed his gratitude for the trust given to him. “I feel very honored to be able to lead this FIKES. My team and I will work hard to continue improving the quality of education and research in this faculty,” he said.
As a newly appointed Dean, Dr. Handoko Santoso is committed to encouraging innovation, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and building an academic environment conducive to the development of health sciences. He also plans to establish closer cooperation with external stakeholders to support the achievement of the vision and mission of FIKES UM Metro.
All parties are expected to give full support to the new leadership of Dr. Handoko Santoso, M.Pd. as Dean of FIKES. Together, let’s build a better and more sustainable future for health science within UM Metro.
In addition, Dr. Bambang Suhada, M.Si. was also appointed as Acting Deputy Director of the Postgraduate Program for the 2023-2025 term of office.
