Rolling Productive Assistance Distribution of NZA Reaches the Poor Community of North Lampung

UM Metro – Rector of Muhammadiyah University of Metro (UM Metro), Prof. Dr. Karwono, M.Pd. accompanies head of National Zakat Agency (NZA) of Lampung Province, Ir. Mahfud Santoso, M.M. to distribute rolling productive assistance to poor community of North Lampung, Tuesday (16/1/18).

The rolling productive assistance is a program of National Zakat Agency of Lampung Province to settle the problem faced by Indonesia that is poorness including in Lampung Province. This distribution is the sixth action of NZA of Lampung Province which is held in Kali Balangan village, South Abung Subdistrict, North Lampung Regency.

Hussein, head of the village congratulates to his people who get the rolling productive assistance and hope it will help their economic matters.

“I say congratulation to you who get the rolling productive assistance of National Zakat Agency of Lampung Province. I hope it will help you all to solve your economic matters,” said Hussein.

Besides, Ir. Mahfud Santoso, M.M., head of NZA of Lampung Province states that there are three goals of the program he leads such as settling the poorness, relieving the stupidity, and decreasing the unemployment.

“This program runs to finish basic problem frequently happens to many Lampungness. I get the data that about 1.3 million people in Lampung Province are categorized as poor one, so that, this program has three goals. The first is to settle the poorness, and the second is to relieve the stupidity and the last is to decrease the unemployment,” stated Ir. Mahfud Santoso, M.M.

He reports that the way to settle the poorness, his team distributes rolling productive assistance that it will not be asked to return to.

“To settle the poorness of Lampungness especially for Kali Balangan Villagers, National Zakat Agency of Lampung Province will distribute rolling productive assistance. You will not be asked to return the capital assistance. It’s enough for you to roll the capital assistance to another poor people in your village,” reported him.

In-depth, the head of Lampung Education Board continues that his team to relieve the stupidity, NZA of Lampung has given scholarship for 43 smart students in higher education so far.

“To relieve the stupidity, National Zakat Agency of Lampung Province offers achievement scholarship. If you complain frequently about your children education to study in higher education while your children are smart, you may register your children to our board. The smartness categorizing is being hafidz, always being top ten in the school or holding 3.5 passing grade for students of higher education,” continued Ir. Mahfud Santoso, M.M.

Then, he mentions one by one tools and capital assistance that will be got by Kali Balangan Villagers.

“In this time, we will distribute 500 chickens, 25 goats, the superior seed of rice plant, the superior seed of corn, plant disease eradicator tool (mouse), and capital assistance for a vegetable merchant, capital assistance for crackles entrepreneur and scholarship for 8 students in higher education,” expressed him.

Base on the distribution system applied by NZA of Lampung Province, Prof. Dr. Karwono, M.Pd. explains to Public Relation Media Centre Team of UM Metro that the program to avoid employing abuse which is frequently applied by the community.

“Distribution system applied by National Zakat Agency of Lampung Province is designed to avoid employing abuse which is frequently applied by the community. Because of that, UM Metro will take the role to control them by sending the students to their village that we call social action internship for an advanced university student,” said Prof. Dr. Karwono, M.Pd.
